Earning Capacity Assessments are an invaluable tool as the report provides recommendations on a person’s functional capacity, transferrable skills, motivation, application, aptitude, interests and potential roles.
An Earning Capacity Assessment comprises two evaluations; a Functional Capacity Evaluation and a Vocational Assessment completed by a skilled Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant.
The Functional Capacity Evaluation tests the workers functional capacity and their physical ability to perform work-related tasks. The Vocational Assessment evaluates the worker’s transferable skills, qualifications and interests to identify potential future employment or need for training and support.
These evaluations are used to establish a list of appropriate roles for the worker and the worker’s earning expectations. Active OHS’ Vocational Assessors can also supply a report that details active positions available in the workers’ community and contact real employers to discuss the available roles.
